Clarkson Studio

In November, 2005, the Clarkson School of Irish Dance opened its new studio. Located at 14353 Manchester Road in the Boardwalk Plaza in Manchester, MO, the studio offers over 2,100 square foot of danceable area, doubling that which was available in the original Clarkson School studio. Other features of the new studio include:

• Full-length mirrors on two walls
• Dance barres on three walls
• A private dressing room, with 40 individual storage lockers
• Two bathrooms
• School office
• 16'x16' private practice room

The dance floors at the Clarkson studio were constructed with the best interests of the dancers in mind. The primary subfloor is supported by EPDM Bio-Pads uniformly-spaced to maximize shock absorption and reduce repetitive motion injuries. The finish sub-floor is topped with Harlequin Cascade, the dance surface used by numerous professional dance organizations, including all Riverdance productions around the world. Harlequin provides a superior non-slip surface that eliminates the need for taping or wetting of shoes to improve dancers' footing.
